Urethral stricture is narrowing of urinary duct.This narrowing occurs due to direct blow or urinary or inflammation.At primary stage of urinary stricture patients feel pain during piddle and urinary bladder do not empty even after piddle.It can make many complications in case of piddle.
Some case piddle does not secretes,then emergency treatment is needed.
Causes of urethral stricture:
Stricture can be occurred urinary bladder to head of penis.
1.Direct blow at urinary duct or penis
2 Pelvic fracture due to direct blow associated with urinary duct such as motorcycle accident,fall down,industrial accident etc.
3.Direct blow at anal
4.Recurrence infection of urinary duct.
5.STD or sexual transmitted disease
6.Lichen sclerosus or balanitis xerotic obliterans or BXO
7.Birth abnormality of urinary duct and penis
8.Dissecting or surgery
9.Prior treatment of urinary duct such as narrowing of urinary duct or canal of urinary duct
10.Re-structure surgery due to abnormality of urinary duct and penis.It is related with hepospedias,cordi,epispadias.
11.Surgery due to piddle problem
Muscles of urinary bladder becomes weak for incorrect surgery for urethral stricture.Due to it,continuous stretching occurs at urinary duct which makes muscles weakness of urinary bladder.Because of it,lethal health problem can be seen such as excretion problem of piddle,exude of piddle,
inflammation or infection of urinary duct,reflux or piddle back to kidney and reducing of kidney activity etc.
Symptoms:
1.Pain during piddle
2.Reducing of speediness of piddle
3.Reducing amount of piddle
4.Blood secreting during piddle
5.Abdominal pain
6.Low amount of urine
7.Recurrence of piddle
8.Piddle blocks suddenly or blocks for prolong.
Prognosis:
1.Ureteroscopy
2.Urethrograpy
Treatment:
Instrumental treatment-intermittent dilation-Two times at first time,then one per week,then one per month,then one per year,then one every per year
Incessant dilation
Surgery:
1.Internal urethrotomy
2.Urethroplasty
Complications:
If neglected of urethral stricture,
1.Piddle will be blocked
2.Another path will be created at urinary duct
3.Pus at urinary duct
4.Fistula at urinary duct
5.Enlarge kidney
6.Infection of piddle
7.Stones at urinary duct
8.Hernia,hemorrhoid
